The Sarawak state government set conditions for the removal of ban of entry into Sarawak for National Human Rights Commission (SUHAKAM) Commissioner Jannie Lasimbang. This indicates that the state government continues its intolerance against promotion and protection of human rights in the state.

The conditions set are:

- she may enter Sarawak in connection with her duties and functions as a Suhakam commissioner.

- she should not be involved directly or indirectly in activities that are detrimental to the interests of the state; and

- she should not associate with organisations that actively instigate or encourage Sarawak natives to carry out activities that are detrimental to the interests of the state.
